The D-Ring Binders are great if you're going to be using them for holding coursework or any other activity where you're writing on the pages a lot. Compared to regular 3-Ring Binders, they are much easier to write in and don't tear up your papers as much. They are also better if you're collecting a lot of them across a shelf. They stack across like regular hard back books unlike regular 3-Ring Binders so you don't have as much wasted space. Unfortuantely, the price point on them is really painful compared to regular 3-Ring Binders. If the cost delta were less, I'd never buy another regular 3-Ring Binder again.

Overall this is a good product. I have purchased this in several different sizes. I use these binders to organize documents at work. They withstand wear and tear well. My only complaint is that it is difficult to insert a customized spine. Overall good binder.
